Future Funk? Indie disco? Nu Italo? It are just a few ways trying to describe the sound of Dutch dj and producer NSFW. His debut single Coconut, which got released on Sander Kleinenberg’s THIS IS Recordings, got heavily supported by the blogosphere and got the world to meet with NSFW’s unique mixture of disco and funk with modern day house. His follow up singles Let U Go, Hold Me Close and collabs Starstruck (w/ Kraver) and Daybreak (w/ Sasson) got him a lot of new fans, including respected artists like Aeroplane, Kolombo, Fedde Le Grand and The Magician, to name but a few.
NSFW has been established in the world of remixes as well, and has delivered official mixes for artists such as Peter & The Magician, Kraak & Smaak, Kolombo, Drop Out Orchestra and Parisian indie outfit Nameless.
2014 has promisingly begun with a release on the mighty Nurvous label entitled Getting Away and a much sought after remix for Kraak & Smaak’s Love Inflation (ft. Janne Schra). With singles coming up on Nurvous and Jerry Bouthier’s Continental label the future looks bright for the young Dutchman.
